The Fair Use Rule

A Rational Aversion, a non-commercial Weblog, operates under and respects the philosophy of “Fair Use.”

From time to time I come across something so profoundly true and illustrative that I will copy it entirely. I do this to share the brilliance of someone else’s mind and writing. I make not a dime in so doing.

In these instances I post content verbatim rather than trying to paraphrase it or “report” on it, something which I do most often. To paraphrase and then include a snip or two and a link, in these exceptional encounters with profundity, is akin to taking the art and gifting of the creator of the piece and removing the very presence that makes it so remarkable.

When copyrighted material is published on this blog it is done so with full sourcing and available links to those sources. All due credit is given to authors or those otherwise involved in the original writing as that information may be reasonably available.
